Ewa Ciszewska
Main Jury
Ewa Ciszewska is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Film and Audiovisual Media at the University of Lodz. Her recent publications concern Polish-Czech film cooperation, heritage management in the field of animation in Poland, and film education. She is interested in the history of the Studio of Small Film Forms Se-Ma-For in Łódź. Head of the project "Film Animation Studios in Gottwaldov and Lodz (1945/47-1990)" carried out together with Prof. Pavel Skopal, in which she researches Central European animation film studios. Member of the Polish Animation Research Group.

Joanna Kożuch

Director, visual artist and animator. Joanna graduated at Fine Art studies of University of Arts in Poznan and University of Silesia in Katowice. She is also a teacher on Animation department at Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, where she finished her PhD. studies. Her filmography includes Game (2004), Fongopolis (2014), 39 Weeks, 6 Days (2017), Music Box (part of the Happiness Machine project) and the award-winning Once There Was a Sea... (2021). She is now working on another short animated film Last Minute and an animated documentary Once There Was a Town...

Michał Szcześniak

A director and screenwriter. Graduate of the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing, and Sociology on Warsaw University of Life Sciences. He wrote, and directed awarded with numerous film awards short films: “A Boat”, “Sashka, Sashka”, “Starting Point”, “Spitsbergen”. “Starting Point” was on Oscar shortlist in the Documentary Short Subject category in 2015, and was selected to the most prestigious festivals, including SUNDANCE Film Festival, IDFA Amsterdam, 57th DOK. Leipzig, was winning international awards, and was sold to number of territories and distributors, including American Netflix. In 2020 he completed his feature debut “Fisheye”, which was premiered at Saint Louise International Film Festival, USA, and simultaneously New Horisons IFF in Wroclaw, Poland. He will soon premiere the film “Do I Still Get On Your Nerves”, a feature documentary. And is working on awarded script “Grzesiuk, the king of life”, feature, narrative, historical biopic. The script won Grand Prix at the festival SCRIPT PRO, and received an award at SCRIPT WARS. Also was granted for the production from Polish Film Institute. Production period is planned for early spring 2024. As a screenwriter he’s also succesfull. His play “Patrz: wolna wola”, and scripts “A Boat”, “Goliath” were price winning. Directed by him a teleplay “Carried Away” was multi awarded in Poland, and chosen by critics: most important achievement in 2019 in the field of theatre and TV. Since 11 years Szcześniak is a member of a board in Polish Filmmakers Association. He likes good music and good food. Father of a nine-year-old Adela, and a 5 y.o. Helena. Jeremiasz Łabarzewski

Born in 2002. Student of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Lodz. Beginning creator (stop-motion animation, graphics, essays), follower of new tribalism, passionate about challenging works and gibberish art forms. Still writing the bio.

Zuzanna Ślusarczyk
Student Jury
Student in art school in Opole in clothes design. But that profession doesn’t describe her art expression. Apart from school painting and sculpture she also she make experimental movies and recite poems.
In Cinematography her main inspiration is Maya Deren and Dali”s paintings. As part of the 20th Opolskie Lamy Film Festival she won the Grand Prix in the Amateur Film category for “WEWNĘTRZNA SMOŁA”. Since then, she have been determinedly looking for new forms of self-expression and emotions, carefully observe and learn about new forms and want to discuss the individuality and credibility in the artist's work.

Konstancja Taraszka
Student Jury
Sophomore in filosophy, speciality social communication at Adam Mickiewicz Univercity in Poznań. Creator of original animated films rewarded at multiple festivals and competitions, domestically and abroad. Worked as a volunteer at the International Animated Film Festival Animator and Short Waves Festiwal, where she was also in charge of SWF for youth frogramme. Aside from film oriented activities she takes part in acts of nonvilent civilan disobidience in order to prevent climat change.
