TOWER MADE FROM BLOCKS
Some stories stick to our thoughts, hearts and feel so strongly that they are hard to forget, they stay in the head for a long time. This was the case with the extremely touching story told in the play directed by Arkadiusz Buszko, "Tower of Blocks", the script of which (based on a book by Katarzyna Kotowska) inspired the creators to create a film etude using the stop-motion animation technique. Record of experiences resulting from the decision to raise an adopted child in the impressionistic form of a film etude, it moves and provokes reflection. The story of love and, above all, the consequences of its lack and the great need to satisfy it is a step towards disenchanting adoption, which is still a taboo subject for many.

VISITING BEN SHEMEN
In 1946, three young Jewish teenagers met at the Ben Shemen school, in Palestine. Each had been traumatised by the Holocaust and World War II. These women, now in their late eighties - one of whom is the director’s mother - recount the ways in which Ben Shemen offered a healing and soul-nourishing refuge, through its humane outlook and the privileging of creativity. Mixed-media and an animated sketchbook aesthetic, together with the collaging of fragments of music and sound, accompany their retrieval of memories, and the director's efforts to understand their experiences.
